Summary of the event –

“Mentors don’t necessarily have all the answers, but they can help you find your own answers.” –Amelia Rope

Every student has certain capabilities, quite different from the others. Helping students to reach their full potential is the responsibility of a buddy mentor. Buddy mentorship is a program which strives to inspire and foster the mentees by building consistent and trusting relationships.

College Buddy Mentoring programs aim to pair a student (mentor) with another student (mentee) to help them both academically and personally, outside of the cliché senior/junior relationship.

Such opportunities help students to assimilate into their college environment and feel more confident.

With a vision to form such distinctive system, School of Bioscience organized a 2-day long Buddy Mentoring series from 6th – 7th January, 2022; wherein student mentors imparted their in-depth information and honest feedbacks with the student mentees. The series was designed and executed under the guidance of honorable Director, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sir.

The students from B.Sc. (H) Biotechnology 2nd year, Ms. Nidhi Mishra and Mr. Bhupender Sahu, offered insights and discussed topics like Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis & Folding.

This series was efficaciously implemented under the guidance of faculty coordinator Prof. Akanksha Jain.

Dr. Surabhi Johari and Dr. Umesh Kumar, Program Chairperson congratulated the student mentors for diligently contributing in academic mentoring, assistance and support.
