Event Summary:

The IMS School of Journalism and Mass Communication at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus always keeps its students on their toes and comes up with great opportunities to learn from professionals from the industry.

Over the last two decades, the changes in journalism have reached new extremes. In fact, a lot of reporting these days now covers the changes in journalism that have occurred as high-speed Internet has become widely available. To discuss the Changing Scenario of Journalism its prospects and challenges IMS School of Journalism and Mass Communication has organized a Guest Lecture on 04th February 2022, Friday from 10:00 AM via Zoom with Guest Speaker: Mr Anurag Dixit (Prime Time Anchor and Senior Journalist, News Nation News Channel)

The  event was commenced with the warm welcome of the guest of honour Mr Anurag Dixit (Prime Time Anchor and Senior Journalist, News Nation News Channel) by the Chairperson of the school of journalism and Mass Communication Dr. (Prof.) Anil Kumar Nigam. 

Mr. Dixit is a great name in the field of journalism .In the session of an hour ; sir discussed about the prospects and challenges of media .He also told that how media is presenting information after doing research in a easy way in front of target audience. He told the students about the skills required for a journalist and it is not a desk job or a studio job,one should need to travel more and more for exploration . In the later part of the session, students were given the great opportunity to interact and ask questions from Mr. Dixit The session was attended by all year students of the department. The session was hosted by Mr. Sajal Kulshrestha student of BAJMC first year. The program ended with the vote of thanks which was delivered by Prof. Sandhya Sharma.

Learning Experience: The session was very well organized and turned out to be a great learning experience for all. Students gathered to be informed about the various skills required by a journalist and its challenges and opportunities.
