IMS UC Campus organized a guest lecture for BJMC Students on October 3rd, 2017 by inviting Mr. O.P Rathore (Radio Jockey). Mr. Rathore worked with All India Radio s Drama, News, Yuv Vani, Delhi station announcements and FM 102.6 Mhz.His years of experience and expertise include working as an anchor for TV commercial aired on channels like Doordarshan, Sony, Sab Tv, Sahara, Star One, Zee Classic, Zee Premier etc. He honoured with six National DD Awards. He interacted with all students of Journalism and Mass Communication on Qualities of Presenter/RJ and Voice Modulation.While addressing the students, he shared his experience on how he manages time to focus on the goal. He told about RJ a person who hosts a talk show on radio. In simple terms the 'sutradhaar' of an assigned show on radio. How RJ should engage the audience with his/her voice and selection of words and how he/she presents the content before the audience.He also told the students to develop the skills for becoming a radio presenter or Radio Jockey and the importance of Soothing and impactful voice,Clear diction,Accurate pronunciation,Command over the language and vocabulary,Flair and fluency in the language,Control over voice pitch,Creativity,Spontaneity,Expressive,Talkative,Impactful communicator. Advising the students he said that, RJ requires dedication, responsible behavior and smart mind which help in presenting the topic in a better way with a good voice modulation . The insightful session provided a great learning experience concluded with question and answer session with vote of thanks to the speaker.
