The department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a guest lecture for the students of BJMC course on January 30, 2020. The guest was Mr. Narendra Joshi, an audio description artist in Indian films. Mr. Joshi informed the students about the concept of Audio description used in feature films for the visually impaired. He explained that the technique is used to enable the blind people enjoy films in the theatre, without being discriminated because of their disability. A very new concept in India and for a majority of the audience, Audio description is very popular in foreign countries. The guest gave a vivid explanation with anecdotes and examples of how this technique is useful also for the community spirit. It was an interactive session for the students
