School of Biosciences, IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organized a Guest Lecture for the Graduate students of Microbiology on 12th February 2020. Rajneesh Kumar, Analyst and Training Coordinator, Pharmacopoeial Laboratory for Indian Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH, Ghaziabad was the Guest for the day. In his research he performs Pharmacopoeial standardization of medicinal plants incorporated in Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India. He also analyzes the disputed samples in respect of Ayurvedic, Unani and Siddha drugs.

Dr. Rajneesh Kumar delivered his talk on "Quality Control Analysis using Modern Techniques". Initially he introduced the students with Ayurvedic, Unani and Siddha medicines. He further discussed the quality standards to check the medicines along with the various modern techniques used for this purpose.

He also explained this aspect with the help of certain examples like Ashwagandha, Ashokarishta and many more. It was a great learning experience for the faculty and the students to know the benefits and other aspects of these medicines. Overall knowledge was quite interesting and admired by the all.
