Journalism and Mass Communication Club Activity “Article and Video Making Competition”

Journalism and Mass Communication club, of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses campus organized and online quarantine competition for the students of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus. This was open to all courses. As the virus has taken over the world and everything is at stake, being positive and productive could be difficult for few people, but being digitally active and making use of the time is best option right now. So, the competition was all about utilizing the time during lockdown. The conditions for bounding the limits for competitions were very easy. All the students out of willingness joined in huge number to make this quarantine contest interesting. First competition was about video making which had guidelines and time limit of two minutes. Making video is best way to showcase the visual representation of your thinking. Students sent videos of them cooking, reciting poem, singing or doodling and talking motivational with imparting few great information about novel virus Covid-19. The second competition was about writing an article on the topic – being positive is the new negative and – The Earth is resting. Although the students were given less time to prepare, we received huge amount of participation and the online contest went well.

Learning Outcome:

Students of all courses were full of zest and participated in huge numbers. It was really fascinating to see so many enthusiastic students full of zeal.
